Be Moved a film by award-winning filmmaker, Jane Pittman, tells the story of the Choreographers Collaboration Project (CCP), a modern dance company based in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria, from its beginnings in 1999 to now. Watch BE MOVED Virtual Showing December 6 at 7:30 ET Watch "Be Moved" and dance videos choreographed by Mary Jo Smet and Janet Stormes. A Q&A session will follow immediately after. All of CCP’s costumes were hand made by Janet Stormes, who also performed and choreographed dances, while holding down a full time job. 2021-22
The Legacy Project This year we are embarking on a Legacy Project - creating a film that looks back at how we have impacted our community by serving as a lab for emerging choreographers, building collaborations with other artists, and expanding our audiences across communities and generations.
